The shades look pretty good while hanging. However, they really are only worth the $36 price, maximum. I have them hanging side by side, over my sliders, and one is much longer than the other when they are completely in the roll down position. Also, the noise that they make when you are pulling them up is excrutiating. It's worse than nails on a chalk board, and I shudder at the thought of pulling them up and down. I'm sorry that I didn't return them.

I purchased three of these shades in large widths to block the sun on my patio in southern New Mexico. I like that they do a great job of filtering the light and heat without blocking the view. They look very nice also, and my son did a great job of installing them.

I really love the look of these in our home...unfortunately they give ZERO privacy. If you are buying these for *functionality* save your money. People can see right into our house at night, & they don't filter the sun.
They are very pretty. :) I just wished they provided more privacy.
